The word “Dasara” is derived from the Sanskrit words “Dasha” (meaning ten) and “Hara” (meaning defeat), referring to the victory of Lord Rama over the ten-headed demon king, Ravana. The festival also marks the day when Goddess Durga defeated Mahishasura after a fierce battle that lasted nine days, symbolising the ultimate triumph of good over evil. On this day of victory, let’s pledge to conquer our inner demons. Happy Dasara and Vijayadashami! May god bless you with courage to overcome every obstacle in your path!!
