Whether you're on the contractor's side or as a site supervision consultant, the workload and responsibility can be overwhelming—and unfortunately, the compensation doesn't always reflect that. 🏗️ When you step into a project as a site architect or Design Coordinator, you become the guardian of all things aesthetic. Every department, from Structural to End-users' Facilities management, will need your input at some point in between the tight project timeline, and you’ll find yourself in constant coordination mode to ensure the vision is realized. But that’s only the beginning. 📷 For every aesthetic decision, you’re responsible for getting client approvals and working tirelessly to meet the project’s specifications. This means dealing with MEP, subcontractors, vendors, and specialists to ensure project meets every detail—whether it's a 2mm finishing element or a 4cm structural feature—is ironed out before construction begins. Missing something here could mean costly delays and having your role questioned, as the proverbial knife hangs over your head throughout the project. 💼 The dream solution? Clients need to give enough time for lead designers to truly finalize the design before issuing it as IFC (Issued for Construction). Without that, the site architect is often left “cleaning up the mess” caused by incomplete or least coordinated designs, all while being followed up daily by the planning team for target dates. ⚖️ And this is just a fraction of what we face. Excellent Landscape opportunities in Egypt

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed a 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 in the quality of design drawings over the past three years? Design drawings that were once more comprehensive and complete now seem fragmented and contradictory. It seems like it’s become increasingly difficult for architects and structural engineers to align work within their teams. I’ve been thinking about what might be causing this, and it occurred to me that it could be linked to the trends of remote and hybrid work that emerged during and after the COVID pandemic. Has the lack of face-to-face interaction and the natural collaboration that occurs in an office setting caused these issues? #construction #steeldetailing #steelfabrication
