From 0-10 IN A DAY! British weather can be crazy just like our emotions. Humans change with the seasons, just like nature... 🌱🍂❄️ lemme explain! We’re living beings, constantly responding to our surroundings, even when we don’t realize it. Every drop in temperature, darker morning, or changing sky shifts how we feel, think, and act. Rebecca Campbell’s book, Light Is The New Black, completely flipped my perspective on what we call “cosy season.” Rather than just hibernating or slowing down, Campbell frames autumn and winter as the seasons to turn inward. Just like trees shed their leaves, we’re invited to let go of what no longer serves us. Just like animals retreat, we’re given space to recharge and reflect. Instead of fighting it, what if we leaned into this rhythm? What if we saw these months as a time to prepare for GROWTH… laying the foundations for what’s next, even if it doesn’t look flashy right now. So, however you are responding to your surroundings this season, IT’S OK! It feels so much better to lean into the natural ebb and flow, rather than resisting. …so happy cosy season!🧣🍁🍂❄️ #SeasonalLiving #RebeccaCampbell #GrowthMindset

As we kick off the new year, let me remind you: life is all about seasons. There's the season of harvest (yay, everything's working!), the season of waiting (patience-testing, anyone?), the season of challenges (why me?), and the season of sowing (aka, putting in the work with no immediate payoff). The key is knowing which season you’re in—because confusing "waiting" for "harvest" will have you side-eyeing your life like, "What the heck?" My hope for you in 2025 is that every season brings growth, prosperity, and the wisdom to appreciate the process. Even when the season feels long, or unfair, trust that it’s preparing you for something bigger. After all, even the toughest winters eventually give way to spring. Keep the faith—it’s worth it! #HappyNewYear #2025 #Growth #Career #development #success #highered #highereducation #HNY #Process #Faith #growthmindset

Behold I do a NEW THING. There's a difference between the NEXT THING and THE NEW THING. Some of us are moving into NEXT seasons, which are nothing but extensions of the past. (There's nothing wrong with next seasons.) Many, however, are moving into a NEW SEASON. A NEW SEASON means it's completely different from the previous season and there are some things you must cut ties with, you must burn the boats. It's a complete departure from what has been, requiring the severing of ties, and releasing of what hinders. You must let them completely go. The weight of the past can not be carried into the boundless possibilities of the NEW SEASON. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. -Isaiah 43:18-19 (I shared this 1 year ago, but I believe it’s still applies to today as well.)
