Is it really #10Xfaster? - Detection of liquid phase hydrocarbon leakage on shut-off valve with acoustic camera This case shows one of the growing number of positive experiences with using of acoustic cameras. We have known for a long time that the leakage of shut-off valves can be determined with traditional contact ultrasonic detectors. With the ultrasound camera, this detection can be done immediately. (In this case, we detected the poorly closed valve with a #CRYSOUND #CRY2623 acoustic camera first, and then - to present the case - we also performed a confirmatory test with a contact ultrasound detector, #UEsystems #UP3000.) Well, the much-hyped sales slogan #10timesfaster is somewhat inaccurate. The location of a real fault practically can be confirmed immediately with an acoustic camera (in most cases). So, the detection-recognition-confirmation could be much faster than the slogan promises.
