In the second part of this series, Dominic Hobson of Future of Finance (FOF), Anthony Moro and Ira Miller lean in to how Provenance Blockchain is purpose-built for financial services. Covering topics ranging from the difference between general-purpose blockchains and one purpose-built, the unique capabilities engineered in to Provenance #Blockchain to enhance efficiency, support compliance and remove risk, and finally how the Provenance Blockchain Network hosts both a decentralized mainnet and the optionality of private and permissioned Zones. 🎧 Listen in 👇 https://lnkd.in/gMQadQ2z #tokenization #DeFi #blockchaintechnology #financialservices

Comparison: Carbon Credit Tokens vs. Traditional Financial Market by Décio Neto 6. Security and Transparency Carbon Credit Tokens: Security: High, leveraging blockchain technology to ensure transparency, traceability, and security of transactions. Transparency: Very high, as blockchain provides an immutable ledger of all transactions, which is publicly accessible. Traditional Financial Market: Security: High, with well-established financial institutions and regulatory bodies providing oversight. Transparency: Moderate to high, depending on the market and the specific asset. Public companies and bonds are subject to strict disclosure requirements, while real estate deals can be less transparent. #digitalasset #token #tokenization #newmonetaryworld #realestatetoken

Imagine self-executing agreements that streamline processes, eliminate intermediaries, and guarantee transparency. That's the promise of smart contracts, a revolutionary technology built on blockchain. Smart contracts are self-executing digital agreements with the terms of the agreement directly written into code. They allow two or more parties to exchange assets or anything of value transparently and conflict-free while avoiding the need for a third party. Smart contracts are commonly associated with second-generation cryptocurrencies, notably Ethereum. There's more about smart contracts, their features and risk in our latest article ➡ https://lnkd.in/d2RbM4rV #Obiex #ethereum #smartcontracts

Here is the second article, "Blockchain, the Trust Technology and its Promises,” as part of my "Summer Journey in the Crypto Land". In this text, I explain how blockchain technology holds the promise of being a confidence machine. It could offer a new paradigm for trust in digital interactions, challenging traditional systems that rely on intermediaries. As blockchain technology continues to evolve, it may redefine the way we conduct transactions and interact with one another, paving the way for a more transparent and trustworthy digital future. My summer series of blockchain-related articles intends to cover this new technology, the various challenges and perspectives, and the impacts on finance and the different products that could affect our lives in the coming decade. #blockchaintechnology #futureofinternet

Augustin Dobre noted that as a financial institution working with legacy systems, the integration of blockchain could revolutionize how transactions are processed, making payments faster, easier, and global. "Perhaps we will even see payments that are settled instantly with the help of blockchain technologies," he speculated. Join us at this year’s festival to dive deeper into how innovations like blockchain are not just enhancing security but are also streamlining financial operations globally! Blockchain is not truly trustless. It’s a shift to a different form of trust. This trust is based on the reliability of code and the collective wisdom of the community. I believe that the term 'trustless' can be misleading; it doesn't eliminate trust completely but redistributes its foundation. Unlike centralized trust in entities like banks, blockchain decentralizes trust among a network of nodes. This decentralized model hinges on code integrity and community agreement, marking a significant shift towards transparent and secure digital interactions. KEY #Decentralization #BlockchainRevolution
