A positive move, an expansion of financial services initiatives drive by government agencies such as EPF. Further enhance access to finance for business ecosystem in line with the World Bank New Deal For Business. ======= The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced a commitment of up to RM250 million aimed at catalysing mid-to-growth stage companies in Malaysia. The investments will focus on six (6) strategic themes, which include Healthcare focusing on aged care and silver economy; Agriculture and Food Science looking at improving the food production ecosystem; Financial Services Inclusivity; Sustainability focusing on energy transition; Education aiming at provision of quality education; and Social Infrastructure as well as future themes that would fit into EPF’s strategic mandate. Overall, promoting financial wellbeing requires a collaborative effort from 🅰🅻🅻 parties involved. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable economic that benefits everyone. Becoming financially independent and adopting a mindset focused on society by helping others achieve their financial goals are essential qualities that need to be nurtured from an early age. To meet this purpose, Prestasi Junior Indonesia, in collaboration with FWD Insurance, has been implementing JA SparktheDream, a financial literacy education program for middle school students, since 2022.   In its second implementation, the program has reached over 2,000 students across seven different areas, offering them new experiences about money management through interactive learning sessions. They have also learned to create positive impact by developing innovative solution ideas to address societal challenges.   Their dedication and persistence yielded an exceptional outcome. Indonesia makes a huge leap by sending about 36 delegations to compete in a prestigious ICT Award APICTA 2024, which was held in Bandar Sri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. Organized from 4 to 7 December 2024, the representatives competed against 500 participants from 17 APICTA’S economic members by demonstrating their breakthrough in the ICT industry. “The number of participants has increased significantly this year. At this moment, we sent about 36 delegations, but some of them withdrew from this competition,” stated Febrizal Efendi, Vice Chairman for SOE and Government Partnership of Aspiluki. **Jakarta/Tokyo - May 19, 2023** The Republic of Indonesia successfully issued JPY 104.8 billion in Samurai Bonds, marking its ninth consecutive year in the Samurai Bond market. This issuance also included the Republic's debut Blue Bonds, raising JPY 20.7 billion through 7-year and 10-year tenors. These bonds align with Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating the country’s commitment to sustainable financing. The Blue Bonds, supported by various ministries and the UNDP, aim to finance projects focused on blue economy and marine sustainability. Proceeds will address the 2023 budget deficit and support eligible SDG expenditures tracked by the Climate Budget Tagging mechanism.
