Over the summer of 2024, I embarked on an exciting project with my roommates Kushal Dave and Rishabh Jhamnani: building an autonomous robot. We ended up with ARKbot, a robot capable of detecting objects, navigating towards them, and grabbing them. This foundational functionality paves the way for future advancements—ranging from everyday tasks like collecting waste to critical applications such as search and rescue operations in disaster zones. This project taught me invaluable lessons in robotics, AI, and embedded systems, and I’m thrilled to share it with you! Exploring Swarm Robotics with ROS2 and Micro-ROS I recently completed an exciting project involving 5 swarm bots, where I utilized both ROS2 and Micro-ROS for control. By placing a camera at the center of the room, I was able to monitor and coordinate the movements of each bot, controlling them as a swarm. This hands-on experience provided me with valuable insights into the complexities and potential of swarm robotics. I'm eager to dive deeper into this field and explore more advanced applications!
