This includes software requirements for first engineering samples of silicon and requirements for long term support requirements for the extended automotive life cycles.Working with the Legal, Operations, Engineering and Program Management teams on ensure the best product is available on Qualcomm's Portals to service our global Automotive customer base.With multiple generations of silicon platforms released, the candidate will own a specific generation.The responsibilities of this role include:Working independently with no supervision.Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or product success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. HEY EVA-KARIN, I HAVE A QUESTION 🙋🏻♀️ Question: what are your thoughts on diversity? Answer: I have two answers to that. First, our department are representing the customer. And if we only sold our cars to 40-year-old engineers from Sweden… Well, we wouldn’t sell that many cars, would we? Second, I think that everyone bring something into our team. Adrian Korbuly our youngest team member (19 yrs) has a constant stream of questions of why we do things a certain way. (Sometimes we realize that we don’t know the answer to them!) And our oldest Mats Hilmersson has a lot of experience from our department, but also from working in our factory in the US. I could go on like this, with every single person in our team. So, for the position I have open now (see in comments) I am looking for someone that can bring us something extra to the table! My job is to unleash the potential of my team and guide them in mastering their craft in quality engineering. 🥅 Today, I came across an insightful post by Karri from Linear. He shares: “To me, craft is a mindset, and quality is the result. Think about any well-made creation—it’s usually a product of care and mastery. The creators designed it thoughtfully, iterated, and prototyped. They selected the right materials and built it with precision. It’s apparent when someone doesn’t care—sloppiness and errors are visible, and such work breaks down quickly.” Karri also emphasizes the importance of possessing the right skills and ideas, and taking one’s craft seriously. 🧑💻 Our focus is on building a team that values experience, cares for quality output and puts customers first. ❤️ We’re starting small, asking the right questions, and aiming to grow with this mindset.
