Today is World Mental Health Day and I would like to use this post to raise more awareness for #MentalHealth especially in the workplace. This is also this year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health – and a very important one. For this occasion, we have initiated a Mental Health Week at Continental starting today and will use the opportunity to take a look at the health of our colleagues and our health services. An important part available at many locations worldwide is our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) where employees and close relatives can find the support needed – anonymously, confidentially and free of charge. In addition, our Group Health colleagues offer numerous content and webinars on different health topics for all employees worldwide, e.g. webinars on "Stress Control" or on "Healthy Leadership in Transformation Processes”. Especially in these challenging times our industry and company is currently going through, it is even more important to take care of ourselves and maintain the trust in our own abilities. This is a good basis to also deal with challenging situations. So, I would like to invite you to take today’s World Mental Health Day to reserve some time for yourself and your health! #StayHealthy

𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 & 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤… Nevertheless, today is the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme this year is “𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡”. I’m writing this to make sure that we recognise that having an awareness week is great for any cause, BUT I am also bringing home the message that this doesn’t and shouldn’t end with this week. The worst thing we can do for Mental Health & Well-Being is to bring everyone’s individual challenges to the forefront of their mind in this week and then ask everyone to simply work on them until we raise awareness again next year. We should all be proactive on this constantly and ensure access to all the support and resources available to anyone this week does help raise this awareness and keeps the subject open continuously throughout the year. For my part, I am unashamedly promoting The PowerMind | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 & 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬. We’ve worked on building this programme for several years and this has allowed us to get the very best advisors, experts, and qualified professionals on board to help with everything when it comes to Mental Health & Well-Being. Moreover, we have made the programme so that it is accessible to everyone in the business and all the resources are made available 24/7 and that any activity in the programme remains 100% confidential. To learn more about this and The PowerMind, please see our website www.thepowermind.co.uk or email me directly at 𝐤𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡.𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧@𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝.𝐜𝐨.𝐮𝐤 #Mentalhealthawarenessweek #Thepowermind #Employeeengagment #Wellbeingdigitalprogram

Today is World Mental Health Day and it's the perfect excuse to take some time for you! In the event industry, we often focus on creating experiences for others and putting on a beautiful show, but it’s important not to forget our own well-being. Let's recognise the resilience of those who work tirelessly to make events happen. From managing our tight deadlines to handling last-minute changes, it become so easy to feel overwhelmed, I know that I have in the past. Skiddle has recently released some early findings of their recent Mental Health survey of Event Organisers and Venue Managers, and it highlights some concerning figures. If you are interested you can take a read-through and also take part in the survey here - https://lnkd.in/ewiUTqAm Remember, it’s okay to take a step back, breathe, and ask for support when you need it. We’re all in this together—your well-being matters most #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #EventIndustry

Mental health is profoundly influenced by #culture (national, organisational, socio-economic and more) which shapes how we perceive, experience and address mental health issues. I am excited to be one of the speakers at the Vanguard Voices Speak Up Summit, tirelessly put together by the amazing Jessica Bensch. Breaking the culture of silence has to start somewhere, and I join 60+ speakers who believe the same. I'll be addressing the phenomena of #burnout, and together we will examine how culture forms a huge part in our 'ability' to burnout. Of course the symptoms are universal, but do we all have the 'luxury' of being able to be treated? My interactive session will be facilitated by Li Bickerich on Friday 14th June at 12:00 CET, and I'd love to have you there. The summit will be fully virtual - and you will have access to the recordings too. Check out the #registration link below. If you cannot purchase a ticket but would like to attend drop me a message, and you can be there - *no questions asked*. I am not a mental health expert - and can only speak from personal experience, and (the privilege of) having access to qualified mental health support. As a passionate advocate for truly inclusive workplaces, I recognise that psychological safety is a cornerstone of creating cultures that empower us to collaborate, innovate, and thrive How do you think the nuances of our cultures affect the ability to 'Break the Culture of Silence'?

Men's Mental Health Week: "Men Don't Talk, We're Told" At Cloud International, we proudly stand with Men's Health Week and its impactful theme: "Men Don't Talk, We're Told." In a demanding field like recruitment, where pressure and competition are constant, prioritising mental health is essential. Yet, many men find it challenging to discuss their mental health due to societal expectations that encourage them to "tough it out" or keep their feelings bottled up. This week, we aim to break that cycle. We support our team by: - Creating a safe space for open communication: We believe that discussing mental health openly is a sign of strength, not weakness. - Fostering a supportive environment: We organise team activities and recognition programs that alleviate stress and promote overall well-being. This Men's Mental Health Week, we urge all men, especially those in high-pressure roles, to prioritise their mental health. Remember, you're not alone. #MensMentalHealthWeek #TalkAboutIt #Recruitment #Wellbeing
