The World Health Organization COP 29 Special Report on Climate Change and Health is a call to action! Climate change is making us sick; urgent action is a matter of life and death. Health is indeed the argument for climate action. This report is a collective call to action from the health community on the frontlines of the climate crisis. As Member States review their Nationally Determined Contributions to achieve their goals to meet the Paris Agreement, we must not think of the commitments as expenditures.
