For instance, developing a sound classification system using embedded microphones to identify distinct sound signatures, such as graffiti spray or glass breaking, can be applied in railway stations or trains. Such methods are both cost-effective and privacy-conscious. For example, the spray sound detection system from the video below employs a highly optimized neural network to process one-second audio samples, effectively differentiating between various manufacturers and ensuring stability against noise. Implemented on ARM Cortex M7, the solution is designed for low-power devices, making it ideal for preinstalled security cameras in railway environments. The implementation is designed to be efficient on embedded hardware, leveraging advanced spectrogram techniques and convolutional bottleneck networks. With only 59k parameters, the neural network ensures that the system is both practical and cost-effective for use in the railway industry. We are not that far from an average person creating real-time gaussian splat scenes on their smartphones! RTG-SLAM: Real-time 3D Reconstruction at Scale Using Gaussian Splatting Producing gaussian splats in real-time are getting good! Twice as fast and half the memory requirements as existing SOTA methods.
