Thank you Tony Jones for the opportunity to discuss the role of Real World Evidence and for choosing rare disease as the model system. By its inherent nature, in the rare disease field both the challenges and the benefits get amplified - like looking at it all under a very powerful lense. And particularly in R&D - even well before any clinical development - patients play a crucial part in building the evidence base. At Aspire Biosciences we have turned patient-provided data into a power tool for boosting discovery and development, and our work procedures are all optimised around collating, vetting and leveraging it. I look forward to discussing this in the broad context of the panel and to the learnings of Femida Gwadry-Sridhar, Ravi Srinivasan and Julie Adrian.
