AirSCWO is a technology that uses supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) to remove organic contaminants like PFAS from biosolids. At a big enough scale, the process can generate enough heat to produce electricity. #watertechnology unicorn Gradiant has announced bold expansion plans in the fields of industrial water treatment chemicals and #PFAS destruction technologies as it seeks to hit $1 billion of revenues by 2026. COO Prakash Govindan explained that the firm expects the new CURE Chemicals business arm to contribute to roughly $100 million to the total revenue target by 2026, while the company’s new PFAS destruction solution will add to a technology portfolio already experiencing significant growth. “Initially we were focused on the build-own-operate model, where the percentage of Gradiant’s revenue which was truly recurring was very, very high. That’s dropped […] because we are winning big equipment projects where the margins are good – but it’s not necessarily recurring in the mind of our investors."
