Please forgive Xavier van Slooten, his selfie skills need some work... 😅 Nic Pannekeet and Xavier had an excellent discussion with Simone Callioni about potential synergies between PureTerra Ventures and Aquatech. We explored several key topics, including the growing importance of Zero Liquid Discharge in industrial projects and some of the exciting initiatives Simone is currently working on with Aquatech. At PureTerra, we’re conducting a deep dive on this topic, and have seen multiple technologies that focus on this space. It was great to exchange insights on the technologies emerging in this space. It’s always great to connect with like-minded individuals who value technological innovation and disruption like we do. This conversation offered valuable insights that will help us in identifying best-in-class technologies, furthering our mission: Clean Water for All. 𝗔 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 & 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿!💧 The catch-22 with start-ups is that the innovator needs commercial traction to become a viable business and the clients who don’t want to take the risk of working with a start-up, even though it could offer them a great competitive advantage. Fortunately, there are still companies willing to spend more time and energy exploring these opportunities. That's exactly the vision behind the recent strategic alliance between PureTerra Ventures and Van der Ende Group. By joining forces, we aim to pave the commercial way for groundbreaking solutions in the environmental and water sectors. PureTerra is a specialist fund that invests in disruptive water technologies. It focuses on innovations related to water quality, efficiency, treatment, and circularity. So, this partnership is not just about collaboration; it’s about unlocking the full potential of cutting-edge technology and market access to make a lasting difference. At Van der Ende Group, this alliance offers us the opportunity to further distinguish ourselves from the competition. Meanwhile, PureTerra will be able to add even more value to their portfolio companies and build a deeper understanding of the market. This alliance is a testament to the transformative power of partnerships in driving innovation and creating a brighter, more sustainable future. #collaboration #watertechnology #innovation #futureofwater

Presenting Katapult Ocean 2024-wave 🌊 Treeconomy - Leveraging technology to quantify, track, and enable carbon removal at scale. Why we invested; The world urgently needs to increase carbon dioxide removal to meet Net Zero targets. The voluntary carbon market, despite existing for over 20 years, struggles with low-quality credits, low prices, and limited impact. Mangrove restoration projects face challenges securing upfront funding. There is a supply-demand mismatch: buyers hesitate to commit without reliable outcomes, and developers struggle to expand without funding. Katapult Ocean supports Treeconomy, which uses remote sensing and AI to accurately quantify carbon in ecosystems, increasing trust, prices, and funding for nature restoration projects. If you're an investor and would like to know more about Treeconomy, please sign up for our Investor Day on December 10th https://lnkd.in/gyKP3Mmk Harry Grocott, Robert Godfrey, Charlie Roper Ord, Matt Amos, Emily Houston, Jonas Skattum Svegaarden, Ross Brooks, Sam Selig, Anthony Bellafiore, Ingrid H. Our CEO, Mari Granström, opened the impactful panel discussion at the 2nd Mission Arena by Blue Mission Banos Project #bluemissionbanos (BAltic & NOrth Sea). The session, titled "Nurturing the regional innovation ecosystem", focused on on the support measures offered to companies and how they can facilitate success for startups in innovative blue sectors. The session involved active contributions from participants, which will help shape regional priorities. In the end, Mari revealed the action points that Origin by Ocean will be focusing on regarding the mission. One of the major focuses is, of course, regeneration. We want to make the value chain used for the chemical industry regenerative. As for the business support part of the mission, it also involves educating consumers about the value chain. Most people don't completely know what ingredients are used in their everyday products. It makes a big difference what you use at home, as most things we use on land end up in the waterways and oceans. Therefore, increasing awareness of the choices consumers make when buying products is vital. From this mission, we can actually say that we implement value chains that have an impact all the way from the feedstock, so from sea to land and land to sea. #OriginbyOcean #BlueMissionBANOS #balticsea #regeneration
