👀 Let's take a look at another key trend we've spotlighted for 2025! 🍓Currently used in 74% of premium venues, berries continue to be popular cocktail ingredients in UK bars. Strawberry is the most popular berry, featuring in 33% of the cocktail bars, followed by cherries appearing in 28% and raspberries in 21% of venues. 🍹 Berries in cocktails add vibrant colours, natural sweetness, and a burst of fresh, fruity flavour, making them a favourite for customers. Flavoured syrups, flavoured spirits or berry garnishes are just a few methods in which berries are incorporated in the best cocktail bars in the world. 👉 What's your go-to berry to use in cocktail serves?

Sharing our Preliminary Classic Cocktail Saturday for those who don’t follow us on Instagram: The Greyhound 🐾🍸 Welcome to Classic Cocktail Saturday, where we break down classic drinks for cocktail newbies, history nerds, and anyone who just loves a good excuse to shake something up! Today’s drink: The Greyhound. A cocktail so smooth and reliable, it was practically built for long journeys—literally. Back in the 1940s, this drink was first served at Greyhound bus terminal restaurants. Picture it: weary travelers, long cross-country trips, and bartenders who knew that a simple mix of vodka (or gin) and grapefruit juice could fix just about anything. Because let’s be real—if you were about to spend 18 hours on a bus, you’d want one too. How to Make It Like a Pro: 2 oz vodka or gin 4 oz fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice (because we have standards!) Ice ✨Feeling fancy? Salt the rim and boom—you’ve got yourself a Salty Dog Shake it, stir it, or just throw it together—no judgment here. Just don’t skimp on the fresh juice. That canned stuff? Not in this house. So, who’s making one this weekend? Tag a friend who needs a cocktail upgrade and follow us for more classic drinks every Saturday! What should we mix up next? What's one downfall of a round of cocktails? The time it takes for each cocktail to be created! Having a wide range of various cocktails can delay the rhythm of the bar as each cocktail takes time to create from scratch. Throughout the night, cocktails can become inconsistent and take longer to create the busier the bar gets. But, not with Mr. L's Cocktails! 🍹 Every order takes at least half the time to make the exact same cocktail from scratch and ensures consistency, with each cocktail tasting the same and no variation throughout the night. Our cocktails aren’t a hit just because they taste great. Yes, that’s a massive priority for us, but our success can also be devoted to the market. Here’s what’s happening in the space: 1. Consumers are demanding richer experiences in their drinking occasions. Beer and wine won’t cut it anymore- preferences have elevated. 2. On-trade venues focusing more on cocktails to keep up with this demand. And with skilled staff becoming hard to retain, businesses need something to plug the gaps. 3. More than 50% of Brits are beginning to spend more evenings at home (to save money). So, we focused on creating the perfect cocktail experience at home. 4. A big one-quality. I can never underplay how much we look at quality and perfection. That’s one thing in our control, which we will always ace. The same great cocktails, but in 30 seconds. The same drinking experience- anywhere.

(RTD) cocktails are now the #2 largest spirit category by volume in the USA, with 62.5 million 9-litre cases annually, growing 22.5% per year 🤯 . Even more staggering- It’s on track to surpass vodka for the #1 spot within 1-2 years 🚀 . For context, tequila/mezcal is at 31.6 million cases, American whiskey at 31.1 million, and rum at 22.7 million cases The RTD market is crowded with brands like High-Noon, Cutwater, and Surfside, while consumer preferences continue to shift. So, where’s the growth? At Mate Maker co. we’re focused on four key pillars: Win the golden hour – The largest consumption occasion by volume, traditionally dominated by beer. As beer declines, RTD takes over this massive occasion. ABV-led motivation – Providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for varying consumer needs during the golden hour. Fruit over style – Consumers are gravitating toward flavor vs style, with fruit revolutionizing categories like Hazy IPAs and seltzers. Fruit will continue to lead. Local connections – Building deep ties with local communities and focussing on depth vs width as it relates to distribution. Keen to join us? We’re now opening doors for everyday legends to join our mission with our first capital raise in the USA. Spots are filling up fast, so reach out or click the link in the comments to build the future with us. Tom Appleton Joshua Makler
