From June 23-26, the 44th Annual Congress of the European Society of Mycobacteriology will be held in Bruges, Belgium. ZytoVision will be present with a booth at the conference, presenting the VisionArray MYCO Chip 2.0 (and other exciting products). The VisionArray MYCO Chip was designed to detect several different types of clinically relevant mycobacterial species. The VisionArray MYCO Chip 2.0 is used with the corresponding VisionArray MYCO PreCise MasterMix 2.0 and a VisionArray Analysis Software for a fast and reliable detection. For further information on the VisionArray system, visit our booth at the conference or our website. #zytovision #visionarray #mycobacteriology #pathogendetection

Excited to share that our study on the cell origin of IPMN is now published! This work would not have been possible without the dedications of my postdoc, Dr. Kiyoshi Saeki, and my collaborator, Dr. Janel Kopp. In our studies, we found that Acvr1b loss, likely through abrogation of Activin signaling, is one of the few pathways identified to date that promotes precancerous lesion formation from both acinar and ductal cells expressing Kras G12D. https://lnkd.in/ei6HcgF5

🎙️ Tune in to the latest episode of the #Big4BioPodcast! Dive in now for expert insights! 🎧 #biotech #research
In our new #Big4BioPodcast episode, we spoke with Tim O'Bryan, director of discovery partnerships and commercial integration at Charles River Laboratories, and Dr. Karl Bertram, co-founder and managing director for ATEM Structural Discovery. We explore ATEM’s cryo electron microscopy technology, or Cryo-EM, its incorporation of machine learning, and how it fits in with Charles Rivers’ broader #drugdiscovery offerings. Cryo-EM enables high-resolution screening for small molecules and biological ligands, particularly for targets that are challenging to crystallize. 🎙 Listen to the episode here: https://lnkd.in/eMmTgX8s #biotech #biotechnology #machinelearning

I am proud to present the preprint of our work “GōMartini 3: From large conformational changes in proteins to environmental bias corrections”. Take a look in the BioRxiv preprint here: https://lnkd.in/dJ9m7hSX This work started many years ago, when Sebastian Thallmair and I still shared an office as postdocs in the group of Siewert J. Marrink in Groningen. Inspired by the work of Adolfo Poma and co-workers published in 2017, the enhanced #Gō-like model combined with #Martini3 – coined #GōMartini3 - was released together with Martini 3 in 2021. After many extensive tests of community, only now we present in detail this approach and also the current Martini 3 protein model. The #GōMartini3 better captures conformation changes in proteins in relation to elastic network models, being able to capture subtle differences caused by interactions with #membranes, #smallmolecule #binding and single point #mutations. It also demonstrated capability to capture large conformational changes in #nanomechanics studies. Additionally, the model can be used to implement an environmental bias to correct recently described inaccuracies of the Martini 3 protein model, such as underestimated dimensions of #IDPs and low hydrophobicity of certain amphiphilic small #peptides. A big collaborative effort involving Sebastian Thallmair, Adolfo Poma, Siewert J. Marrink, Luís Borges Araújo, Manuel Melo, Hafez RAZMAZMA, Fabian Grunewald and many others. The Martini 3 Protein task force is only starting and many new developments should be coming this year. From my side, thanks for the support of #LBMC (Laboratory of Biology and Modeling of the Cell), #CBPsmn (Centre Blaise Pascal de Simulation et de Modélisation Numérique), #ENS de Lyon (École normale supérieure de Lyon), CNRS and CNRS Délégation Rhône Auvergne.

We're doing a series of clips from a webinar I gave recently on the challenges in detecting biological nanoparticles--and the opportunities available if you are able to do so. First clip below, if you interest is piqued see full seminar here: https://lnkd.in/ghAwnzDi
Last month, our President and CEO, Giacomo Vacca, delivered a webinar to PATCA - Professional and Technical Consultants Association which was geared towards a better understanding of biological nanoparticles. The talk is entitled "Extremely Small and Incredibly Dim: The Quest to Find the Nanoparticles Responsible for Everything.” Dr. Vacca spoke about the foundations of flow cytometry and highlighted our Delaware Flow NanoCytometer® and its unmatched capabilities for nanoparticle analysis. This clip from the recorded talk highlights what truly matters in nanoparticle analysis, including having a device that does not clog when analyzing particles of different sizes. The Delaware provides the ease of use that is otherwise missing on the market today. We have more clips from this talk coming soon! Stay tuned, and check out the whole talk on our website: https://lnkd.in/d4M89Aj
