Mono diet or fad diet As the name suggests,mono or one diet refers to a weight loss technique where one kind of food is eaten for a specific period of time.It could be a day,a week or a month. This technique might sound interesting and could be tried for a short time but in the long run it is not sustainable.Since we are eating one kind of food,we will be getting a limited number of nutrients and lacking in many necessary vitamins/minerals/carbs/proteins. an example of a mono diet menu could be moong dal foods eaten throughout the day eg for breakfast we could have moong dal cheela,for lunch we could have moong dal salad with raita and for dinner we could try steamed rice with moong dal tadka...we can have certain fruits and drinks in between meals to get the benefit of other nutrients.
