When working with students from around the globe, the one thing that always strikes me is how high the stress level is of students in Lahore. Other schools, other cities are working hard to make modern education stress free and are building curriculums and frameworks that are geared toward giving the student ample time to harness concepts and apply them. As parents we must trust these processes and give our children the room to grow without adding our own pressures to their day. If a child is happy and at ease with their studies, that means the school is doing its job. If a child is constantly under pressure, that indicates that the school is not organised and does not have curriculums and processes in place that provide for smooth academic progress and a positive attitude toward assessments and examinations. More than 3 take home assignments per week- Not Good All work completed in school - Very Good Easy Assessment- Excellent #Conceptsarekey #saynotomomgroups

The Struggles of Karachi University Students: Are We Paying Attention? 📢📢 These are not just students; they are our future leaders, coming from families who sacrifice their own needs to provide education for their children. The rising cost of education is placing an immense burden on middle-class families, yet the governance seems indifferent to their struggles. At Karachi University, the state of the point terminal is concerning. Many old buses are deteriorating, while the newly arrived buses have vanished from the scene after their inauguration. Unfortunately, no one is held accountable. The Transport Incharge’s actions remain unchecked, leaving students to face daily challenges. We appeal to the authorities to address this urgent issue. It’s crucial to ensure that students have access to reliable transportation and can pursue their education with dignity and respect. Karachi University is not just an educational institution; it’s a symbol of our city’s heritage. Let’s come together to support these students and work towards improving their conditions. The Model Assessment Framework (MAF), developed by the Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC) and launched by Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning and Development, represents a significant milestone in standardizing and modernizing examination systems across Pakistan. With its emphasis on uniformity, the MAF introduces standardized assessment practices for all boards, aligning examinations with Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and the national curriculum. By integrating advanced digital tools like Question Item Banks (QIBs) and On-Screen Marking (OSM), the framework promotes efficiency and transparency in assessments. This transformative framework is designed to ensure fairness, inclusivity, and equity in education, providing equal opportunities for students across all regions. It fosters a shift from rote memorization to conceptual, SLO-based learning, ultimately enhancing the quality of teaching and assessment. Additionally, the MAF strengthens teacher training and enables data-driven policymaking, paving the way for evidence-based reforms and elevating Pakistan’s education system to meet global standards. I have been honored to contribute as a developer of the Model Assessment Framework (MAF), a landmark initiative that redefines examination systems in Pakistan. My role centered on designing a standardized, technology-driven framework that integrates tools like Question Item Banks (QIBs) and On-Screen Marking (OSM) to ensure transparency, fairness, and inclusivity in assessments. The MAF establishes a new benchmark for quality education by aligning assessments with Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and national goals. It emphasizes a shift from rote memorization to conceptual understanding, fostering equity and preparing students for a future rooted in critical thinking and lifelong learning. Being part of this transformative initiative fills me with pride, as it paves the way for a standardized, inclusive, and efficient education system that ensures equitable opportunities for students across Pakistan.
