When Google announced Gemini would be baked into every Google Workspace subscription, some partners were worried over lost margins. But Pythian CEO R. Brooks Borcherding sees it differently: “The floodgates are now open.” Why are we bullish on the change? ✅ 10% →100% adoption overnight: Customers no longer gate-kept by cost can now tap into AI at scale. ✅ Services surge: “Businesses will need partners to actually use AI—not just sell licenses,” says Brooks. ✅ Future-proof trust: We were looped in early, highlighting that Google wants to drive adoption, not just resale. Yes, margins shift. But as Brooks told CRN: “What’s theoretical revenue vs. real transformation? We’re betting on the latter.” Check out CRN’s blog on Google’s move—and why we're looking forward to driving true AI adoption: https://hubs.ly/Q033C7Pj0 #GoogleWorkspace #AI #GoogleCloud #ChannelPartners #LoveYourData

“As you look at the next 2 or 3 years ahead, people are going to be shifting their mindset from🤔‘What’s the best email platform? to ‘What’s the best AI platform for my company?’ said Promevo CTO and longtime tech innovator John Pettit. “That’s really where the decision point is going to be between Microsoft and Google. So where Google owns a lot of their own AI technology and has a lot of powerful capabilities with their search engines and apps and business links, they may start to catch more ground on Microsoft.” Google Premier Partner Promevo sold hundreds 📈 of #Gemini #Workspace deals last year before #Google’s #AI technology became a free add-on to Workspace this month, which makes #GoogleWorkspace even more attractive to customers compared with #Microsoft #Copilot. This is the right perspective on the sudden mass availability of AI tools for employees. A lot of Google Cloud partners are severely displeased with the mass availability of Gemini in workspace, but Promevo sees it as a great opportunity and a natural step in the evolution of employee productivity. John Pettit has some great thoughts on that topic and Gemini vs Copilot and other #AI topics in this article. Awesome to see Promevo making some noise in the marketplace!
