Learning the traffic pattern as a new pilot can be overwhelming. Managing airspeeds, radio calls, spacing, altitude, and heading all at once feels like spinning plates while riding a bike. And let’s be honest—repeating the process endlessly in the airplane gets expensive fast. That’s why I’m creating a guided visualization video series for student pilots, starting with mastering the traffic pattern in a Cessna 172 at Albert Whitted Airport (KSPG). This isn’t just another explainer video—it’s an immersive experience designed to save you time, money, and stress in your flight training. In the video, you’ll step into the cockpit and learn: The exact flow, timing, and sight picture for every leg of the pattern. How to build muscle memory with detailed callouts and pauses to practice each action. Tips to master the traffic pattern, preparing you to fly confidently and efficiently. 🔗 Ready to take your training to the next level? Join the waitlist for my full guided maneuver series by emailing chickswhoflyofficial@gmail.com with the subject line “Join the Waitlist.” 💬 Have you ever struggled with chair flying or felt lost practicing traffic patterns? Let’s connect—I’d love to hear your story. Remember, the skies aren’t for those who just dream—they’re for those who prepare. Let’s get you there! ✈️

We’ve all been there! 😅 Sometimes, trying random solutions feels quicker than diving into the documentation. But as amusing as this image is, it’s a good reminder that reading the docs can save us time and effort in the long run. What's the funniest workaround you've come up with before finally reading the manual? #softwareengineering #devs #TechHumor # ReadTheDocs #SE #ALXSE

Edited from a post on Reddit... Don't Sacrifice Love of Learning to the Altar of Information Think about this... Is what you are doing accomplishing what you want? Do you want learners learning, or obedient drones? You can learn in all sorts of ways. Try bouncing a ping pong ball off the wall and having the kids measure the angle depending on the angle thrown? Supplementary angles! Keep in mind that young bodies are made to move and (because of state testing) they've just spent days sitting in one place answering all types of questions on a piece of paper/ computer screen. No wonder they all failed your quiz! I know you have an outline to follow and topics to get into their brain, but don't sacrifice the love of learning to the altar of information.
