Riyadh Air completed its first test flight connecting King Khalid International Airport (RUH) in Riyadh to Istanbul Airport (IST). As part of Saudi Vision 2030, the airline plans to serve over 100 destinations by 2030. Qatar Airways Cargo has retained its position as the world's leading airfreight carrier for 2023/24, enhancing its services and accelerating its digital transformation by transitioning to an all-Boeing 777F fleet. Throughout the fiscal year, the airline maintained a strong stance regarding its fleet size and value, with over 236 aircraft worth QR239bn ($63.1bn) on order. The Group expanded its fleet by acquiring over 25 additional aircraft, bringing the total fleet size to 284 as of March 31, 2024. Strategic investments in advanced, fuel-efficient aircraft have enabled agile responses to opportunities and challenges, supporting the airline’s global connectivity commitment. Qatar Airways also announced key upgrades to its fleet with a redesigned Qsuite Business Class and plans for a unique First Class cabin that combines commercial and executive jet experiences. The airline has shown great adaptability in meeting increased passenger and cargo demand, meticulously planning capacity requirements to enhance operational sustainability. The fleet now includes 230 passenger aircraft, 29 cargo planes, and 25 executive jets.
