📼 𝗔 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟴! Imagine this: it’s 1998, and the latest innovation in tech isn’t a smartphone or a streaming service—it’s a quirky little device that lets you take screenshots from 𝗩𝗛𝗦 𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀. Yes, you heard that right! Connect it to your trusty videoplayer, pause at your favorite scene, and voilà—you’ve just captured a moment in analog history. Looking back, it’s wild to think how groundbreaking this must’ve felt. Before DVDs or digital downloads, preserving a scene from your favorite movie was almost like magic. This gadget wasn’t just a tool; it was a glimpse of the creative possibilities that technology could unlock. Now, in the age of screen recording and instant sharing, this feels like a nostalgic relic from a simpler, yet surprisingly inventive time. It’s a reminder of how far we’ve come—and how the tech we take for granted today started with these small, brilliant steps. Wouldn’t it be fun to try one of these out again? I wonder how a 1998 screenshot would compare to our 4K captures today. 😅 #RetroTech #InnovationThrowback #1990sGadgets"

Ever wondered how can your mobile phone play a video recorded by an ultra high definition camera and with hundreds of gigabytes in size smoothly? Technology advancements and demand for high resolution video have significantly increased in the past decades. Users are now able to stream 4K content on their devices without any interruption. This revolution caused the file sizes of these videos to go from few megabytes to hundreds of gigabytes making it hard for content providers to store and manage large files. It has also increased the demand for highly capable network solutions to handle the data traffic sent with the increase of digital content. But what is the solution, can companies continue expanding their data servers? This is where compression technologies come into play. Content providers can shrink the size of 100GB file to 100MB in order to distribute these files to the end user. There are dozens of compression technologies in the market that make the day to day video distribution smooth and possible. The goal of each compression (codec) can be different for example the H.264 generation of codecs are used for distribution purposes therefore, used in streaming platforms like Youtube. Conversely, codec like JPEG XS, targets professional environments like live production or broadcast where high quality video data is contentiously sent from venue for example a stadium to the studios and to the viewers without any latency and quality degradation. #videocompression #codecs #broadcast #liveproduction #Compressiontechnologies #H264 #JPEGXS #tech

With another CES under our belts, here are our top three takeouts for 2025: 1) A quiet PC revolution. Your next PC may look like your last one, but it will be a LOT more powerful: faster, quieter, better. At Logitech, we look forward to helping all new 'super AI PC users' be even more productive, creative and comfortable with our latest peripherals. 2) Gaming is hotter than ever. Loads of new gaming PCs, monitors, handhelds....it is no wonder the gaming market continues to grow robustly. I'm biased, but my favorite CES gaming news was our Logitech G' Streamlabs by AI Streaming Assistant, the all-in-one co-host, producer, and tech wizard. 3) Age Tech. Health tech solutions to help aging populations stay healthy and independent for longer are starting to look more, well, helpful. We saw fall detectors, interesting diagnostic tools, cameras to keep people connected, and robotic companions. Our Logitech team looks forward to continuing to work with partners like Stanford Health Care to deliver innovative tech solutions to help health care professionals and patients old and young. I just tested the newly released #Llama-3 with 70 billion params quantized by NousResearch as Meta-Llama-3-70B-Instruct-GGUF, running on #Llama.cpp on my MAC. ~ 50GB model size, used ~90GB RAM during inference and 100% of my M3Max :-). The speed is incredible for a model that size, running locally. The streaming output is a live recording. It is quite hard to keep up with the exponentially growing innovation - start learning and exploring. #NeverStopLearning, #GenAI, #TheFutureIsNow, #AIControlledByYou, #IMNI

🚀 Beamr to enable real-time video streaming over 5G with NVIDIA Holoscan for Media. Next week, at NAB Show, we will demonstrate a real-time video optimization application with the NVIDIA Holoscan for Media, a software-defined platform that enables developers to easily build live media applications. 5G increased bandwidth is not sufficient to support the always-growing demand for real-time video streaming required for live event transmission and other use cases across a wide set of industries. “There is an urgent need for solutions for live-streaming video, edge products, or the Internet of Things in the rapidly growing video world״, Beamr CEO Sharon Carmel said. ״Beamr’s ability to lower bitrate and enable 4K video streaming at scale and over 5G has the potential to grow usage, improve user experience, and lower costs for such enterprises.” More info in the first comment ⬇ #beamr #video #nvidia #nvidiaai #artificialintelligence #nabshow

The concept of the own developed O.S in T.V by Micromax Informatics Ltd CEO Rahul Sharma Sir is a game changer which will solve the clutter created by Google, Android, Mozilla, WebOS and more 3rd party O.S and 100+ OTT platforms. It's a unique concept which will make a great and lasting impact on the Television Market in India. Paying 10-12k for 43 inch Qled TV with Rs 799 subscription model is what is required in today's market. Having AI in T.V is not about creating chaos and confusion, it's about making entertainment at the ease. Loved the concept. Hoping for great results 😊
