Disk streaming while resampling with NI Media NI Media might be my new favorite library loads files into plugins fairly quickly and thread safe from what I can tell. If you need to run analysis you can do it on a separate thread and cache your results somewhere with a hash of the audio file But loads audio instantly through the power of disk streaming.
