Today's consumers are more focused than ever on making sustainable choices. Residents want to live in sustainable buildings but, unlike other folks within the real estate ecosystem, they don't face imperatives driven by regulation or net zero pledges. Plus, with rent and overall cost of living as high as it is, the proposition of paying more to live in a sustainable building comes with a complicated set of considerations. So, what choices can owners and operators of real estate that center sustainability in order to attract and retain residents, while driving returns and NOI? I'll be discussing this at the Fifth Wall Climate Summit at Blueprint in Las Vegas with Arie Barendrecht, Nicholas Durst, Elizabeth Lutz, and Harry Tannenbaum on September 17th from 2:10pm - 2:45pm PST.
