We hate throwing food away. But America throws A LOT away: 88 million tons in 2022 (548 lbs per person). That is equivalent to 1,000,000 Boeing 737s and nearly 40% of total food production. So who is creating this food waste? Probably you! Households are the largest contributor responsible for nearly half of all food waste. How do we stop this? By taking a look at what exactly Americans are throwing away and why. Produce is the largest share of food waste, which makes sense given the short freshness period between cultivation and spoilage is mostly spent in industrial processes like cleaning, sorting, transportation, and grocery store sale, not in your fridge! Couldn't have been more friendly, funny and engaging. ✔It's owned by the Timpson family - think cobblers (shoe repair to the younger ones reading this) key cutting, watch batteries... 💡 BUT did you know they support people coming out of prison, giving them that all important second chance? They have done this for years. It is why I have always taken my repairs, watches and get my keys cut at Timpsons Limited. Just in time for Black Friday and the holiday shopping season! What penny pincher came up with this idea? Starting tomorrow Perimeter Mall in Durwoody, Georgia, outside Atlanta, will begin charging for parking in approximately 300 spaces located near its front entrances. This new convenience plan affects a fraction of the mall's total 7,000 parking spots and will cost $2 per hour, with a maximum daily fee of $10. So instead of attracting customers with items and deals, they plan to punish customers with fines and longer walks to the mall? Of course, this is being implemented just before Black Friday, the busiest shopping day, and will likely go away around Christmas.
