Making a telephone call to a supporter who has registered for one of your challenge events is the perfect opportunity to let them know how they are making a difference. It will ensure they feel valued, through expressing interest in their preparation or training, helping with fundraising ideas and answering any initial questions. It can also help you understand the motivations for your supporters getting involved in any particular event, which is useful for creating more meaningful dialogues, shaping your future fundraising or sponsorship challenge events, and contributing to your overall strategy. But this is only one of three calls you should be making to your challenge event supporters! Want to find out more? Then get in touch! #fundraisingtips #fundraisingfriday #fundraisingstrategy

🌟 Supporting Local Events: A Win for Your Business and Community 🌟 Hey everyone, I recently had the privilege of sponsoring a local event, and it was truly a win-win situation. Not only did it allow us to give back to our community, but it also provided valuable exposure for our business. Supporting local events isn’t just about being charitable – it’s about investing in the vibrancy of our community. By sponsoring these events, we’re not only strengthening ties with our neighbors but also showcasing our commitment to supporting local initiatives. Plus, from a business perspective, sponsoring local events is a fantastic way to increase visibility and connect with potential customers in a meaningful way. It’s marketing with heart, and the returns go far beyond the bottom line. So, if you’re looking for a win-win opportunity to support your community and boost your business, consider sponsoring local events. Together, we can make a real difference and create a stronger, more vibrant community for all. Here’s to supporting local events and reaping the rewards for both our businesses and our communities! Has there been a more challenging and volatile fundraising sector in recent years than community and events? First it was pandemic-driven event cancellations en-masse, followed swiftly by the birth of the virtual event, some of which were wildly successful. Now, with cost-of-living rises, event participants aren't too keen to ask friends and family for sponsorship... More widely, our research indicates that few events really 'stand out' to participants, suggesting charities need to consider whether their product portfolios match the market opportunity. That's a lot of change to wrestle with, but the core events promise - connecting with others and doing something interesting for a good cause - remains as relevant as ever.
