So, why do MBA professors need to have an enterprise mindset? Well, think about it this way: nobody's really looking for just "managers" anymore.  Businesses want people who can take charge, get things done, and help their companies grow. And you don't really learn that in a classroom. It's more about soaking up that entrepreneurial spirit from the people around you, including your own teachers. At a recent workshop I led at the Kirloskar Institute of Management (KIM), we dove into this idea. We talked about theories like effectuation and tried out cool techniques like the art of hosting to pick the brains of some really experienced folks. We were brainstorming how to really amp up that culture of enterprise and innovation at KIMS. Oh, and let me tell you, KIMS has one impressive campus! It's something Pune should totally brag about. This throwback Thursday, we revisit a successful roundtable on Digital Transformation for MSMEs organized by DRISHTI CPS focusing on Industry 4.0 at Indian Institute of Technology, Indore. Aligning with the government's vision of Zero Defect Zero Effect(#zdze), the program aimed to promote the #digitalization of MSMEs. Had the privilege of conducting an enriching session with the 4th Batch of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow  ‘Advanced Program in Leadership in Digital Era’ on the topic ‘Digital Transformations: Issues & Challenges-Insights from the Policy Perspective’. Over 39 experienced professionals from 11 States, representing a diverse range of industries, joined for an engaging and interactive discussion. During the session, we delved into current digital landscape of the country and the transformation it has undergone in recent years, explored key issues and challenges thrown up by these changes, and discussed policy imperatives. We discussed these issues with reference to three specific case studies—UP100, Startup India, and ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce)- all designed and implemented as citizen centric initiatives. What was scheduled for three hours extended to nearly three and a half hours, thanks to the intense and insightful participation from the group. The diverse mix of perspectives from participants from varied economic domains, with experience ranging from 7.5 years to 35 years, made it a truly dynamic learning environment.
