📢Full of anxiety and apprehension, I am jumping out of comfort zone like Schrodinger's cat out of its box 🐱 A lot has already been said about #Quantum computing: be it during November's Quantum Circle Summit or #BeQCI in Brussels. And still, the first question I get is always "Ok, Hanna, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫❓" So let's start with the basics: 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦? 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐰? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬? 👉🏼 Have you ever heard about Moore's law? We managed to make our processors smaller and smaller and thus our computers faster and faster. But guess what? They are so small now that we physically cannot get further than that. 👉🏼Can't get smaller = can't get faster. 👉🏼 But hey, we are now all about AI, right? We NEED more computing power. 👉🏼 How about a different technology then? How about we stop looking at bit-based processors and look at... quantum? Quantum is complex. IT and technology are complex and we're not doing the best job making it easier for ourselves‼️We desperately need to start because now 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲. That's my idea for this small project I kick-off today: to 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱. Not many are blessed with enough time to dive deep into the meanders of technology - but sometimes 1,5 minutes is enough to grasp the idea of the concept - if explained well! 👉🏼 This is my first video - feel free to 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 what you think or send me a message with your feedback - all opinions are welcome! ________________________________ 🔔 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐞. I explain tech stuff: Azure. AI. Quantum. Simple. #quantumcomputer #microsoftlearn #technology
