On 22nd March, QTI participated in the Quantum Technologies Conference: Shaping Europe's Quantum Future in #Brussels. The Conference gathered high-level speakers from academia, industry, and governmental bodies to discuss the EU’s strategy for the next decade (the #QuantumDecade) and the role of quantum technologies in the global tech race. As a company operating in the quantum communications sector, we are aware of the importance to operate in an #ecosystem that can leverage the competencies and expertise of each component to advance quantum technology uptake. Member States’ signatures of the #QuantumDeclaration was also celebrated as the first step of the EU’s quantum journey. Today, the United Nations declared 2025 as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. This year-long, worldwide initiative will celebrate the contributions of #QuantumScience to technological progress over the past century, raise global awareness of its importance to #SustainableDevelopment in the 21st century and ensure that all nations have access to #quantum education and opportunities. Twenty one EU Member States have now joined the European efforts to make Europe the “quantum valley” of the world by signing the #Europeandeclaration on #quantumtechnologies during a conference organised yesterday (the 22nd March) by the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU. Through the declaration, first launched in December, the EU Member States that have signed so far recognise the importance of quantum technologies for the scientific and industrial competitiveness of the EU. Member States commit to collaborating on the development of a world-class quantum technology ecosystem across Europe, a key part of the European Commission’s plan for the Digital Decade. for more information: https://lnkd.in/dWe9Fj-U

Such a great experience to be a part of Quantum Revolution. Think quantum computers will only be valuable when we achieve full fault tolerance? I challenge you to think again. We see ways of adapting quantum algorithms for nearer term hardware.
