This announcement by VW and QS proves that large-scale manufacturing is very different than technology innovations and pilot operations. This is yet another example that proves the logic of our OneD business model, which is based on R&D Joint Development Agreements + SINANODE Pilot Manufacturing Agreements + Large-Scale SINANODE Technology Transfer & Licensing Agreements. This is possible because of OneD foundational IP portfolio of > 200 granted patents providing sufficient FTO (Freedom to Operate) to its industrial licensees. QS is licensing VW to scale up the mass production of ASSB technology (read PR). I have said many times that capital intensive large-scale manufacturing requires a large industrial company with deep manufacturing expertise and the lower cost of equity capital & lines of credits that only large established and profitable publicly traded companies have.

In case you missed it ⬇️ Samuel Lazerson, our Stellarator Physics Lead, recently presented at the 24th Coordinated Working Group Meeting (CWGM) of the Stellarator-Heliotron Technology Collaboration Programme under the auspices of the International Energy Agency. He shared Gauss Fusion's vision for the future, highlighting key objectives such as site selection, technology development and scaling up of the fusion industry to bring fusion energy to the European grid. On Aug. 1, Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Steve Daines (R-MT) introduced the Department of Energy Quantum Leadership Act of 2024, which would authorize more than $2.5 billion to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). “Quantum technologies will revolutionize multiple industries, impacting our everyday lives and strengthening our economic and national security — but only if we reduce barriers to commercialization. While renewables is a significant component of addressing the needs, 24x7 baseload generation expansion is needed immediately. The recent completion of Vogtle and the foresight of those quickly moving to adopt SMR’s appears to be a smart move.
