🚀 Exciting News from Our Association! 🚀 The European Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC) is thrilled to announce that one of our esteemed Members and a global leader in building #quantum computers, IQM Quantum Computers, has made a significant announcement at the annual Choose France summit, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and attended by business leaders from around the world, designed to promote France’s attractiveness internationally. 🚀 A quantum leap in computing! 🚀 At the inaugural #IBM #Quantum Developer Conference, we announced a major breakthrough: the successful execution of quantum circuits with up to 5,000 two-qubit gates, setting a new benchmark for #performance and #scalability! This achievement marks the completion of our ambitious 100×100 challenge, set just two years ago, and pushes the boundaries of quantum computing beyond classical capabilities. It's great to see that ARQUE Systems GmbH has been recognized by Sifted as #one of the 11 #quantum #computing #companies being watched by VCs in Europe. This is a great honor, but also a great motivation for the future for the team of over 30 passionate employees working on the SpinBus technology. Without them, what we have achieved would not have been possible - but it is only the beginning of a long and ultimately successful journey. We are convinced of that! Dmitry Galperin has recognized and highlighted the added value of our technology. What is special and successful about ARQUE technology: it can #really #scale! Quantum processor architectures must enable scaling to large numbers of qubits while providing two-dimensional qubit connectivity and exquisite operational fidelity. In microwave-driven semiconductor spin qubits, dense arrays have made considerable progress, but are still limited in size by wiring fan-out and exhibit significant crosstalk between qubits. To overcome these limitations, we have developed the SpinBus architecture, which uses electron shuttling to interconnect qubits and is characterized by low operating frequencies and improved qubit coherence. Device simulations for all relevant operations in the Si/SiGe platform validate feasibility with established semiconductor patterning technology and operational reliabilities of over 99.9%. Control with devices operating at room temperature can plausibly support at least 144 qubits, but with cryogenic control circuits a much larger number of millions of qubits is realistic. Building on the theoretical feasibility of highly reliable spin-coherent electron shuttling as a key enabler, the SpinBus architecture will form the basis for a spin-based quantum processor that meets the scalability requirements for practical quantum computers. ✨ Last week QuTech hosted the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO)(RVO). Together with other quantum companies, we had the opportunity to meet RVO director Abdeluheb Choho. We shared with the delegation how OrangeQS builds test equipment for quantum chips and what our role is in several projects in the world-leading Delft quantum ecosystem. 💡 At OrangeQS, we build high-throughput test equipment for quantum chips. These are among the world’s largest and most complex quantum systems.
