CPDs represent critical infrastructure that challenges traditional urban planning frameworks, as they don’t fit neatly into industrial or commercial categories. These buildings bring unique challenges and opportunities: ✔️ High energy consumption and specific needs for height and technical space. ✔️ Lower human occupancy, but large areas needed for infrastructure and maneuvering, requiring flexible parking solutions. ✔️ Strong commitment to sustainability, with green roofs, water management systems, and other environmentally-friendly practices. Adjusting urban regulations is essential to support these projects without compromising their functionality or efficiency. Collaboration between developers, municipalities, and communities will be key to integrating these facilities harmoniously and sustainably into our cities. 🌆 What other challenges do you think CPDs face in urban planning? Pilar Anastasio Sánchez, Director of Architecture, tells us about it in the following article: https://lnkd.in/dipVhRhc #DataCenters #UrbanPlanning #Sustainability #Innovation #Quark
