In terms of revenue, Mars is currently the leading confectionery company – a position it would've lost if The Hershey Company had accepted Mondelēz International's takeover offer just a few weeks ago. Curious how Mars became the leader in confection? Acquired has the full story, don't miss it.
The best revenue AND the best place to work ❤️
The fascination of a family business… for me over 25 years my personal # 1 of associates, brands, spirit and principles… keep on pushing MARS ❤️
They became the leader by having a collaborative and inclusive workplace with highly engaged associates.
Worked at Mars for 4 years. And was privileged to visit some of the amazing factories producing the most beloved chocolate brands. Out of the top 5 chocolate brands globally 4 of them are Mars brands. The story behind building and growing Mars to a Titan is truly inspiring
No longer a Martian, but I saw this at Walmart and I'm starting to worry for you! They partnered with Sara Lee and Conagra Brands to make their own line of candy bars before teaming up with you. Were they worried you couldn't keep up with demand? Has sales in the impulse/checkout lanes slowed down for them, pushing Walmart to find more affordable, attractive options for consumers? I'm super curious and stayed around for a few minutes to ask cashiers as well as shoppers to get their input. Bottom line, people aren't willing to pay the increased prices for smaller bars. And lastly, does Walmart have final say in the presentation of these displays? Because if they do, there's a LOT of power in the strategy behind it. I already know how I'd be dressing it! 😎
The best is yet to come! #proudlymars
As 20% of Americans use GLP-1 drugs by the end of 2025, the confectionary category will see large cohorts of consumers changing their consumption patterns, as we all know.
It's a really great company to work for. The people are the key. #proudlymars
