The most diffult thing in a new job in the first year is to find your role. This is the set of tasks that fuel your tank.

⚡ An ex-colleague of mine was a kick-ass Operations Manager in the oil industry for a tough, deepwater location. 🙌 But over time, she progressively accepted less impactful roles, and now she doesn’t even see that she’s capable of SO MUCH more. “I’m OK—the work is interesting.” 😐 It's not about lacking ambition—I’ve known her long enough to know that she's driven. 👊 The problem is 𝐬𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. The other problem? I can’t tell her this. Why? Because she sees herself as a strong, confident person 💪 and would likely feel offended if someone suggested that she’s selling herself short. So I barely “hint” at it, and then bite my lips to hold the rest in. 🤐 I have more than one such friend, and I find these situations extremely frustrating. I don’t want to ruin my relationships 💔 but also care too much to stay quiet and let it go. ❤️ Haven’t figured out yet how to handle this—when I do, I’ll share. 👉And Humera Ma'am cleared the mess, said my team. 👉On Friday, the teamleader complained the project leader about the Jr onboard officers, asking team, if the team is interested in joining their organization and be part of them. 👉And there was a big conflict, between the project leaders and Jr on board officers. 👉My internal team learned about it and called to inform. 👨🍼I recieved a call from the senior officer, and the officer said, Humera I was present there only. I didn't knew this matter will become so big. 🤷♀️I Said, Sir, there might some misunderstanding in communication that happened between the teamleaders and the on board officers, and as they didn't understand, they might had spoken something and the project leader understood something. 👉Let's drop it here. And focus on completing the job. 🧑🍼And the officer Said, yes, yes, please Let's move ahead from here. 🤷♀️I called the project leader and asked, you knew I am travelling, this you people create in my absence? 💁♂️And the project leader shared the matter. 🧏♀️I said, call the senior officer and talk to him. And make sure the jobs are done smoothly and let the team work on sunday as well. 👉Only 20% is remaining.
