Deputy Headteacher (Quality of Education) at Queen Elizabeth's School, Crediton

It was an honour to represent QE again at the Acts of Remembrance in Crediton which took place on Sunday. A wreath was laid by our Head Boy and Head Girl on behalf of our students and I laid a wreath on behalf of staff. To be part of this event with representatives from across the community is an absolute privilege. (Photos by Alan Quick, Crediton Courier)

There is a deep historical connection between Queen Elizabeth’s School today and the service and sacrifice of our former students during wars in the twentieth century. Their names are on our honour boards in the Upper School Library and remind the whole school community that we enjoy our freedoms today because they believed in a better world. We are grateful to all service personnel and other public servants who work to keep our communities safe.
