Tomorrow, April 11th, is World Parkinson's Disease Day! This is a great chance to engage in meaningful discussions and do more to spread awareness about Parkinson's disease, the world's fastest growing brain disease. In the four years since the release of our book, we have been advocating and urging the U.S government to ban harmful chemicals such as Trichloroethylene (TCE) and Paraquat, which dramatically increase the risk of Parkinson's disease. Despite the major developments across the years, we can do more! 1. Over 1 in 3 people live with a neurological condition, now the leading cause of illness and disability worldwide. New findings on the global impact of brain disease make it painfully clear that the work we are doing to support as many brain disease research projects as possible is incredibly critical. Investing in brain disease research is the only way we will find cures, and when we find a cure for one disease, we will find cures for many more. Learn more in our new blog: https://lnkd.in/gBPKy_9k

The study conducted by Cambridge University suggests a potential link between frequent nightmares and the autoimmune disease Lupus, particularly noting disrupted dreams as a possible early indication of the condition. This discovery may provide a window of opportunity for earlier diagnosis and intervention, potentially leading to more effective treatment approaches for Lupus and shedding light on how neuropsychiatric symptoms can be interconnected with autoimmune diseases. Recognizing nightmares as a symptom could pave the way for improved diagnostic criteria and understanding across various medical conditions. #AutoimmuneDisease #Nightmares #Lupus #DiagnosticCriteria #MentalHealth Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eDa5e3uF BioMedHack.com is your leading source for the latest news, breakthroughs, and insights in medicine, biohacking, and alternative medicine. My three takeaways: 1. Chronological age per se is NOT a disease. In fact, it's pretty much irrelevant when assessing the health of any person. 2. We older adults vastly differ from one another physiologically. (So...It's inaccurate to lump us together under the category of "the elderly.") 3. Precision medicine is the wave of the future in which health care is geared toward the individual on both microscopic and genetic levels. https://lnkd.in/g_hhyc8Y
