The drive for a unified approach to sustainability reporting is gaining unprecedented momentum. Following the successful conclusion of London Climate Action Week, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) published a Feedback Statement outlining plans to further harmonise the sustainability reporting landscape essential for the transition to a lower-carbon economy. As Emmanuel Faber, Chair of ISSB highlights in the Feedback Statement, the standards set will result in high-quality, comprehensive global baseline of sustainability disclosures focused on the needs of investors and global capital markets. I firmly believe the standards will effectively highlight the sustainability impact of finance. At DP World, having committed to voluntary early adoption of ISSB, we are committed to enhancing transparency and accountability in our sustainability initiatives. By working towards ISSB's standards, we ensure that our stakeholders, investors and partners have access to reliable and comparable sustainability information, which in turn supports our goals of fostering sustainable growth while strengthening our role in the global transition towards a greener economy. We look forward to contributing to this harmonised approach and driving impactful change across our industry. Read ISSB’s Feedback Statement to learn more: https://lnkd.in/dcWmRsi3

Interesting insights from KPMG’s Global Sustainability Reporting Survey. 90% of ASX100 companies now see climate as a financial risk, and 76% are already aligning with the TCFD recommendations. This puts them in a strong position to meet the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standard (ASRS). Also, 43% of companies have already acknowledged ASRS and its mandatory reporting requirements, and 67% are getting third-party assurance on sustainability data. On top of that, 90% are reporting carbon targets, with 37% using targets set by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
