I’m excited to share with you the debut of Quent Capital’s new website. Our new brand identity distills into words and images precisely what differentiates us from other investors and advisors. We’ve landed on a metaphor that feels deeply true to who we are, what we do, and why we do it: “squaring the circle.” Squaring the circle stands for our relentless drive to look beyond conventional wisdom, and to set a new standard every day for how we measure, quantify and understand a company’s value. There’s a fascinating story behind the mathematical origin of this phrase, which I’ve written up in a short blog post below. Feel free to take a spin around our new website as well. Onward! Gregg

If you've ever been curious to learn more about what Ramp's really about, this is a great place to start: https://lnkd.in/e_mAKcsH But I think the most fascinating thing is what Evan and the team at Every Inc. created. I think they actually created a new form of media -- an Extendable Article. In addition to the text itself, readers can ask an LLM any question and it will query all the sources Evan and team used to create this story. Desk research, first hand interviews, and every conversation that went into making it. It's incredibly innovative and worth your time. Articles like this might be a powerful tool to reverse the trend of lagging media trust. Give people the chance to access the same info as the writer did in creating the article. Conclusions may vary, but information access should not. Thanks to Every for letting us be the first test! Really remarkable stuff. And thank you for your time to make this special Geoff, Megan, Lindsay, Jo, Dan, Karim, Gene, Calvin, David, Jacob, Jacob and many more!

“What am I even doing?” This question echoed in my mind for years. Initially, Computer science major in high school. A brief stint in mechanical engineering at NIT. I’m a semester away from B.Tech in AI and Data Science. And now, financial services? On the surface, it might look like a series of disconnected choices. But when I stepped back—truly stepped back—it became clear: every moment had been preparing me for this. Growing up, I followed the well-trodden path we all know too well. Go to school, get a “safe” degree, find a stable job, save diligently, and avoid risks. It’s the convention set by our culture: where the crowd goes, we follow. And so did I. But deep down, I knew this wasn’t what I wanted. For years, I silenced that inner voice telling me to take a different path. I lacked the courage to stand apart, to ask myself what truly mattered. Amidst the chaos of expectations and even my own doubts—I couldn’t hear myself out clearly. “What do I even want ?” I realized that my curiosity had always pointed me towards something larger. I’ve always been fascinated by the people (I knew all these entrepreneurs and business magnates you know today since I was 11) who made it to the I st & IV th quadrants of B’s and I’s. “ What did they see that others didn’t? “ That question led me to financial services Industry - M&A to be specific. And today, I’m proud to introduce to you a new venture Graystone & Co. along with my Co-founder Gaurav Desai, one of the very few people to resonate with the same frequency. “Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life” said Steve. I want to add - “and that’s the reason they have theirs and you have yours.” Your path may not look linear, but that’s what makes it yours. Every step, every twist, every moment of doubt brings you closer to discovering your purpose. More strength to you. (P.S. I’m always up for a coffee chat)
