Do you know what a Pollinator Pathmaker is? Designed by Dr Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg, it's a tool using AI to design gardens that are made for pollinators (the drivers of biodiversity). You easily insert info on where the piece of land you have at disposal is, how big it is, how is the soil and the light, and the system designs a garden made for pollinators, giving all the instructions on how to implement it. We love it, and below there is an example of how it was implemented in Berlin city center! 😨 Can you imagine Europe without our iconic landscapes and favourite food? Accelerating climate change and nature loss threaten the world as we know it today, including our unique nature and traditional food rooted in our culture. 🔥 Every place in Europe is in some way affected by climate change and nature loss. Scientists warn us of cascading tipping points but also point at a solution. It lies in our land and nature. For this year’s World Environment Day, celebrating land restoration as its leading theme, we prepared a special briefing reflecting on Europe’s relationship with nature and how investing in its restoration could preserve our heritage while boosting our economy and security. Our briefing collects powerful examples and numbers showing that restoration is a win-win for our environment, people, and economy. Read the key messages below 👇 and the full briefing here: https://lnkd.in/d6sKQEgu #RestoreNature #WorldEnvironmentDay #climatechange #natureloss

Earth’s lush and resourceful land has allowed us to grow our communities, expand across the globe, and persist for over 200,000 years. Even today, while much of the modern world may feel like it is dominated by technology and highly engineered spaces, we are still utterly dependent on nature, particularly the gifts of land.
