"Are trade fairs still worth it?" Today I spent the day at the #hm24 Hannover trade fair, and the answer is a clear "YES!". The arguments are - it's out of the personal "bubble": there's news which won't reach you via the digital channels, which is worth it - it connects to people. Personal contact is always stronger as just a tile in your video stream, live speaker impress more than a canned video stream. - it's inspires. From great ideas like the bionic bee (which actually flies around) to an impression what's state of the art down do practical hacks for everyday work. And: it was not that crowded as expected.
