Looking to extend your home? Take a look at a recent bungalow extension designed by Studio Homer. Extending the existing footprint 1m beyond a previous extension while reconfiguring the roof with a dormer extension brought this 2-bedroom bungalow into a 5-bedroom family home. A double-height entrance leads to a guest bedroom, utility/office, and a large kitchen living space that feeds onto the garden. Upstairs comprises of a main bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite with three additional bedrooms. Moving away from the existing render, we opted for a timber-clad finish that is broken up with a stone-clad base to the building. The roof will be finished in slate with a parapet parallel to the roof for a flush finish to the side elevations. A living roof will be installed over the proposed carport to add to the biophilic character of the building.
