Today, I'm taking a moment to celebrate my parents' 35th anniversary, because their journey has had a massive influence on my motivation, professional values and approach in business... For over a decade, whilst I was a kid growing up, they both successfully ran a gastro pub in Essex, which required insane amounts of hours and commitment. Their dedication and approach to business in the Hospitality Industry, taught me lots! Here are some of the key things that I learnt from them: 1. Seizing the Day: The early bird catches the worm; success requires an early start and proactive attitude. 2. Think Long Term: Focus on building lasting relationships; look after your customers! 3. Reputation is built on the hours no one see’s: There is no elevator to success.
