Excited to be invited to participate with an esteemed panel of speakers with such a depth of knowledge and expertise, discussing  “Combating CSAM: A Multifaceted Approach to Protecting Children Online.” In an era of ever-increasing AI generated CSAM and the use of AI to facilitate crimes against children, such as financial sextortion and the proliferation of nudity apps, the latest data from the AI Harm Taxonomy for AIID (second edition of the CSET incident taxonomy) is concerning. The incident response statistics reveal: Percentage of incidents involving children: 18.75% Percentage of child-related incidents involving harm: 40.67% Join myself Ravi Bhalla, Andrew Briercliffe, Adam Levine, CAMS, CPP, and Sigurdur Ragnarsson to know more about how law makers, regulators and industry can mitigate risks to child safety online. When regulators enforce their codes of practice, companies must prioritise child safety. This includes conducting impact assessments, deploying age verification, and, for younger users, verifying parental responsibility. Interesting that I wasn't invited to this given it is an issue I have worked on for over 30 years and am one of the people who led the work opposing the CSAM proposal by the EU Commission as well as wrote my Master Thesis (Law) on it - not to mention being a survivor...
