The Screen Australia Drama Report highlights a concerning trend - children’s content is under significant pressure. Only 8 titles entered production this year, compared to 12 last year. Expenditure in this category dropped 29%, and the total number of children’s content hours fell by a staggering 42%. Screen Australia CEO Deirdre Brennan emphasised the issue - "Children’s content continues to face significant pressure and remains reliant on government support. We’re working to broaden the opportunities for development of Australian kids IP." As we look to 2025, it’s crucial we prioritise stories for our younger audience. Australian children should grow up with stories that feel like home. 🦘🎬 #AustralianStories #makeitaustraliant #KidsContent Screen Producers Australia Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) Image source: GINGER AND THE VEGESAURUS S3

I am deeply grateful to Thai PBS World, a Thai public broadcasting, for featuring my recent documentary and activism in their latest profile. This recognition means a great deal, especially as we strive to highlight stories that resonate with the values of democracy, heritage, and inclusivity. I hope this serves as inspiration to the younger generation to speak up, act, and create change. We all have the power to make a difference, and it starts with believing in the possibilities we can achieve together. You can read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gq2C_sJM
