The correct and surprising answer is that plants can sense all of them. But how do they do that? 🤔 ☘️ Plants do not sense like humans, as they don’t have a nervous system. They have specialised mechanoreceptors that can detect touch and pressure among other senses. Most commonly, these receptors are found in the form of fine hairs on the plant body. 🔍 Just take a closer look at #KnowYourWorld #Curiosity #TuesdayTask #Quiz #Plants #Botany #WorldAroundMe #YDAOD #YourDreamsAreOurDreams #NarayanaSchools #45YearsOfExcellence #TheNarayanaGroup #narayanaschoolswestbengal

Types of Japanese Sedge: With over 1500 species of Carex worldwide, identifying individual species can be challenging. Common grass types like foothill sedge and tussock sedge are occasionally mistaken for Japanese sedge. Nonetheless, there exist several well-known varietals of Japanese sedge, differing slightly in color or appearance but not care. #JapaneseSedge #Horticulture #Botany

Dandelions are both hydrophilic & oleophilic. They are resistant to water due to surface tension. The attraction between each water molecule is greater than the force of the fibre attempting to pierce the surface. A fun activity while doing plant adaption! #Plant #Botany #PlantAdaption #Dandelions #Hydrophilic #Oleophilic
