Dear Urban Ladder, Thank you for extending a #refurbishing service for the furniture that we bought from you. Your representative came, checked the sofa, took photographs, and sent the estimate (25k), to be paid in full in advance. We paid. We were informed (email) that it would take 10-12 days for them to refurbish and deliver back to us. The sequence of events - Made #payment on 10 May and we were informed on 11 May that the product would be picked up within 48 hrs - Finally, after follow-ups, I was informed on 14 May that it would be picked up the next day - On May 16 we were informed that it would take 10-12 days to deliver the product. The maths is 16+12= 28 May (ideal date), however, keeping a buffer of another 5 days means 28+5 = 2 June worst case scenario. I still haven't received my sofas. What would it take for you to #honor your #commitment as my living room looks empty? I am unable to provide seating to my guests who have been using dining table chairs to sit. Can you please let me know the date and time of delivery? Is your service 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 any different? Hidden benefits often drive our purchases. Take a bottle of bathroom bleach as an example: The primary motivation for purchasing it is clear: you want a cleaner bathroom. But how do you differentiate between two nearly identical products? You have two options: 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭: Highlight the obvious benefit. Maybe your bleach kills 99.99% of bacteria compared to a competitor’s 99.9%. Impressive? Sure. But not exactly a compelling differentiator. 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮: Focus on the less obvious, peripheral benefits – often the ones that work on an unconscious level. Maybe your bleach smells fresher. Maybe the cap is childproof or leak-proof. Here’s what I realised when I purchased a bottle of transparent bleach: I wasn’t just paying for a clean bathroom; I was paying for the 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 that my bathroom is clean. The bright blue bleach I typically use let's me see this in action. A clear liquid, despite being just as effective, doesn’t give me that same assurance. In financial services, we often focus on the obvious benefits: lower fees, better portfolio management, a clearer plan for the future.
