Have you ever stopped to reflect that many essential services wouldn't run without weekend and public holiday heroes? 👀 When I first started flying, I used to feel disgruntled about having to work on weekends. I felt everyone was out partying while I had to go to bed at 8 pm to face a 3 am wakeup call. ⏰ But I soon realized that without ‘us,’ many services wouldn't operate. Thanks to ‘us,’ people can go on holiday, have accommodation during vacations, eat at fancy restaurants, enjoy happy hour cocktails, dance the night away, get rides home after a night out, ensure rowdy neighbours are kept in check, enjoy sightseeing tours under the scorching mid-August sun, receive same-day delivery parcels, hear the news that 'she’s going to be okay’, be reunited with their children found under earthquake rubble, and get to their loved ones on Christmas Eve. 💃👨✈️ 👨🚒 💂♂️ 👩⚕️ Shout out to all weekend and public holiday heroes, including those in aviation, hospitality, tourism, healthcare, emergency services, manufacturing, telecommunications, media, cleaning, maintenance, distribution, and not only. 🙌 Have you ever worked a weekend or holiday shift?
