They are always there around and we just need to reach out to them and grab. It is not easy to avail them as there will be several challenges, roadblocks, and pitfalls in our path before we grab them. It requires lot of passion, perseverance, and patience along with hardwork. We need to believe in our potential and ability to achieve. How cliché is it to love an Adam Grant book? How about to love it so much you post on LinkedIn about it? I recently enjoyed Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things on audiobook (included in Spotify Premium) and delighted in Grant’s narration (range of energy, emotions, sing-song at all the right moments) and mix of voices (literally – this book feels like a well-produced group project led by Grant). The content is so relevant and actionable that I actually bought a physical copy for reference. I’ve been recommending it anywhere and everywhere – it’s so applicable to every piece of my world. The audiobook and the physical book are both full of Easter eggs specific to the format. A few of my favorite excerpts: - “The best cure to feeling uncomfortable about making mistakes is to make more mistakes.” - “People judge your potential from your best moments, not your worst. What if you gave yourself the same grace?” - “Weak leaders silence voice and shoot the messenger. Strong leaders welcome voice and thank the messenger. Great leaders build systems to amplify voice and elevate the messenger.” What are you reading or listening to right now? All formats welcome (Substack too).

I’m not one for business books, (or much reading outside of that, honestly), but I had to share about Geddy Lee’s “My Effin’ Life” – a gem I doubt many have stumbled upon unless they’re fans of Rush. This audiobook has been a highlight for me recently. The opening chapters alone are a profound testament to the resilience and beauty of life. Geddy’s recount of his parents’ love story, born in the bleakness of a Holocaust concentration camp, sets a powerful foundation for his narrative, values, and identity. It’s a testament he carries with him not taking life or anything else for granted, something we could remember. Businesswise, Rush’s remarkable 40-year journey also offers valuable lessons in: 1. Love your customers: They have a genuine gratitude and respect towards fans and are committed to delivering value for the time and money fans invest. 2. Unwavering product quality: They refuse to compromise on the integrity of their music, ensuring everything they produce is something they can stand behind and actually perform live in person. 3. Brand authenticity: They embrace uniqueness and are dedicated to complex musicianship and infusion of humor and authenticity into every performance. Did you read/listen? Thoughts? For those with Spotify premium, it’s currently available for FREE!: https://lnkd.in/gAtEAaNA #rush #marketing #bookclub #audiobooks #brand

I’m not exactly at the influencer stage where anyone would pay for my thoughts or promotion, but here goes anyway. Everyone should read “Comfort Crisis,” by Michael Easter Humans are built for a very different lifestyle than we live today, and it’s ruining our lives. Making us: unhealthy, unhappy, forgetful and not curious. We need to make ourselves uncomfortable (again). It’s in our nature to make ourselves as comfortable (both mentally and physically) as possible on a daily basis. You take the known route home with your GPS enabled. You tackle the projects that are easier first. We sit and work at our email jobs in comfortable 72 degree rooms all the time. Etc. This book reminds me of what we develop if we are comfortable being uncomfortable, and I believe the single most important trait in a human: Grit. Nothing good comes easy, so if you want anything worthwhile you’ve got to be resilient and willing to challenge yourself. Also, did everyone realize Spotify offers full audiobooks now?! #ComfortCrisis #grit

If you missed my announcement yesterday, I’m so excited to share that Infinite Impact is now available as an AUDIOBOOK—and I’m still celebrating! 🎧✨ While recording, one of the most powerful lessons I shared is the Courage to Course-Correct. It’s a game-changer—a process that helped me realign with my purpose by addressing the beliefs that were holding me back. What I discovered is that when you meet your own needs and live your Why, resistance fades, and you’ll experience a level of self-expression and Impact you never imagined. 🌟 In Infinite Impact, I walk you through this exact process—how to recognize when you’re on a path that isn’t working, and gather the courage to shift. Course correction isn’t failure. It’s GROWTH. It’s the moment you reconnect with your inner truth, stop seeking validation from the outside world, and realize that you are whole just as you are. From there, you begin to recognize your own resistance, heal from it, and get back into Alignment—so that you can start showing up as who you really are. When you take the time to do The Work, you’ll find that your brand/cause lands with greater clarity and purpose. Those you're speaking to will feel that connection, drawing closer to you because you’re showing up as the real YOU. Whether you listen while commuting, cooking, or simply carving out time for yourself, the audiobook offers you the chance to dive into “The Work” anytime, anywhere. REMINDER: Tomorrow, September 14th is your last chance to order your copy of the audiobook, which automatically gets you access to a 2025 group strategy and planning session with me on October 3rd AND enters you into a drawing for a Free Ticket to this month’s Books & Business event on September 26th & 27th! 🎉 #Author #FemaleWriters #BusinessBooks #Audible #AmberV #InfiniteImpact

Well, this was wild to see this morning. What’s one of the hardest things you’ve ever done? For me, it was writing the book, NEARBOUND and the Rise of the Who Economy. But you know what was surprisingly just as hard? Reading the audiobook! 😅 You’d think after hundreds of podcasts and speaking events, reading the audiobook would have been cake. Well, I gotta be honest. It wasn’t. The whole process took almost two months! Weeks to record and weeks more to edit and get approvals. I’ve always been a fan of authors who read their own audiobook. So when we were publishing the book, I made the promise to the team that my own voice would be behind the title. I’m glad I did it. As of today, it’s out on audible 🙂 And I couldn’t be more happy of the hard work that went into it. Looking forward to hearing what yall here have to say when you tune in. Remember, most times, the hard choice is the right choice. Choose hard. ✌️ #b2b #gtm #sales #marketing #partnerships

🎧 Just finished listening to "Unfu*k Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life" by Gary John Bishop, and it’s a game changer! Starting a business in a sluggish economy is not for the faint-hearted. Likewise, Gary's book is not for the faint hearted. What struck me most was its frankness. The straightforward, no-nonsense advice provided a much-needed reality check, pushing me to introspectively assess where I can improve and advance without excuses. This book is all about wrestling with internal barriers, getting honest with yourself, and embracing truths. It's a powerful reminder that the only thing standing between you and your goals is, well, you. I enjoyed this book via Spotify Audiobooks, which helped me to digest information quicker and multitask—win-win! A word of caution: the book does contain its fair share of F-bombs, but the Scottish narrator turns them into something almost lyrical. Who else has found their perspective shifted by this incredible book? #PersonalGrowth #BusinessBooks #Audiobooks #Entrepreneurship
