In Dhalai’s Ambassa Block, the TRIPTI project team has achieved what seemed almost impossible—a 100% completion of livestock sheds before distributing livelihood assets. This meticulous planning and execution, coupled with their determination to reach 4,000 participants in just two months, is a testament to the power of grassroots momentum. At the heart of this transformation is grassroots leadership. Consider Samung CLF in Ganganagar block of Dhalai, formed only in 2023, where leaders like Seemabati, the CLF president, embody dedication and innovation. From resolving challenges during participant selection to ensuring accountability through WhatsApp monitoring, her hands-on involvement highlights how emerging institutions sustain the Graduation Approach’s impact. By addressing complex issues, such as income generation post-project grants, and aligning selection drives with agricultural cycles, Samung CLF exemplifies the foresight needed for lasting change. Compassion should be infectious.

Today is International Men's Day, with a theme of "Positive Male Role Models". There can often be a distinct gender split in certain areas of animal rescue. For example, only 20% of our Facebook followers and 22% of our Instagram followers are men, which is quite a distinctive difference. Research from RSPCA shows that men are statistically less likely to describe themselves as "animal lovers" and less likely to take action to help animals. Across our charity we have some amazing male role models doing incredible work as staff, volunteers, trustees, supporters and more! So our question today is...what can be done to encourage more men to get involved with the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of greyhounds and lurchers?

These creatures are clearly struggling to find #food and #water, and their living conditions are far from ideal. This cruelty is a stain on our collective humanity, highlighting a disturbing disregard for life and the intrinsic value of all living beings.
