When we work together, we do have differences of opinion however that should not affect our team's performance. If there are differences in opinion when we compete against each other, it adds momentum to the task whereas when the differences are within the team, it can hamper the work and productivity. Differences of opinion in competitive settings often fuel creativity, innovation, and a drive to outperform. However, when these differences arise within a team, they can lead to conflict, misunderstandings, and reduced productivity if not managed effectively.

To accomplish goals, a strong team is needed. Goal-focusedness and a culture of shared accountability are essential for a team. It is quite risky to treat the team in a manner that divides them. Goals are never achieved until each member's unique contribution is acknowledged and it is dangerous to realize some members are responsible for each failure. If a team member cannot be helped to improve let it be out of the team.

On the contrary, it means sharing your unique strengths and differences to move the team forward. It is this "we-opic" focus and vision - this cooperation of collective capability - that empowers a team and generates synergy.

Understanding how team members react to their workload is crucial. If you sense any tension, take the time to explore it with them. Do they recognize the importance of their tasks? Do they feel valued? Engage them in the process and ensure they are part of the decision-making. Don’t ignore your instincts—address them! A team that feels valued understands the meaning of their work, and is involved in task allocation can achieve great things.
